Chenega Bay

The South Central community of Chenega Bay lies on the eastern shore of Evans Island in Crab Bay, 67 nautical miles southeast of Whittier in Prince William Sound. Although this small village does not have visitor services, there is a newly built and operating Medical clinic, a Russian Orthodox Church, a school, a community hall, a subsistence center, an airport, and a small boat harbor. The people of the Chenega Tribe have lived in the area of Prince William Sound for over 10,000 years.

Tatitlek

Tatitlek is located on the northeast shore of Tatitlek Narrows, on the Alaska Mainland in Prince William Sound. It lies near Bligh Island, 22 nautical miles southwest of Valdez and 50 nautical miles northwest of Cordova. Tatitlek is a small Alutiiq village with a fishing and subsistence lifestyle, there are no visitor services available in Tatitlek. Construction of new docks to provide staging areas for oil spill response capabilities enable the ferries to service this community.
