Environmental

  • Categorical Exclusion (December 2020)
    Note: Environmental documents are updated multiple times during project development. An update to reflect the impacts of the 75% design is currently underway.

ROW

Additional Right-of-Way (ROW) is needed in order to construct this project. DOT&PF submitted a preliminary ROW acquisition plat to the Matanuska Susitna Borough to review for conformance with local platting codes.

The Mat-Su Borough platting board reviewed the case, held public hearings, and gave conditional approval February 8, 2023. Now DOT&PF is working toward completing the environmental re-evaluation and requesting FHWA approval and funding.  Once DOT&PF receives Authority to Proceed, the acquisition process (appraisals, offers, negotiations) can begin.
