Welcome to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)

The Division of Program Development, Capital Improvement Program (CIP) oversees three teams that manage federal and state funds to be used on State of Alaska Transportation Projects.

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP, is a federally-required document developed in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and regional Alaska DOT&PF staff that outlines how anticipated Federal funds will be used for the next four years.

Federal Aid Button

The Federal Aid Team is responsible for working in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and regional Alaska DOT&PF staff to obligate Federal Highway funds.
