Angoon Airport Project SFAPT00086

Angoon Logo

Typical Right-of-Way Process

The Angoon Airport process follows the consumer protections laid out in the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (the Uniform Act). For more about the general right-of-way (ROW) process, view the ROW brochure here and visit the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities’ statewide ROW page.

Angoon Airport property acquisition offers will be mailed this spring.

ROW appraisal agents are reaching out to affected property owners. DOT&PF and contractors are coordinating with the City of Angoon prior to conducting project activities requiring people to travel to Angoon. In addition, DOT&PF and all of its subcontractors will follow State of Alaska mandates and Department protocols regarding COVID-19 protections.

ROW offers and closing activities are expected to continue through the end of 2022 and possibly into 2023.
